Modify tools

Used to perform various element modifications.

Tool	What It Does
Modify	Opens the Element Modification dialog, which is used to make modifications to 3D model elements.
Shorten via Pick	Used to shorten the length of a shape by selecting two points to define the shortening distance. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Shorten via Enter	Used to shorten the length of a shape by typing the shortening distance and then pressing `<Enter>`. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Lengthen via Pick	Used to lengthen a shape by selecting two points to define the added length distance. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Lengthen via Enter	Used to lengthen a shape by selecting typing the added length distance and then pressing `<Enter>`. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Extend/Trim to Line	The selected part is extended to or trimmed at the selected line. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Common tab.
Extend/Trim to Object	The first selected part is extended to or trimmed at the second selected part. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Divide	Used to create two separate shapes out of a single shape and a specified distance. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Connect	Used to joint two separate shapes into a single shape. Press and hold the `<Alt>` key to suppress a shape check. Otherwise, the shapes must be of the same type. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Notch	Opens the Notch dialog, which is used to remove simple geometric shapes of outlets or countersunk parts into shapes in your model. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Round Edge	Used to create a round edge for a selected plate. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Chamfer tab.
PolyCut	Used to transfer the basic polygon processed by cuts to the selected plate/object. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Plates tab.
Cope	Opens the Cope dialog after selecting the coped shape and the shape the cope should be automatically cut for.
Moment Cope	Opens the Cope dialog for a selected shape and end. The cope dimensions must be manually specified.
Angle Bisect	Used to create a mitred cut for two intersecting shapes. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Chamfer Plate Edge	Used to create a chamfer corner for a selected plate. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Insert Plate Edge	Used to add a new corner, and thus edges, to an existing plate. This is a shortcut tool to a feature on the Element Modification dialog Shapes tab.
Plate Editor	Used to select a plate and open the Plate Editor dialog.
